Taiping Zoo – My First Ever Visit to a Zoo in Photos

You need to set the Google Map API Key in the theme options page > Integrations.

Taiping Zoo was my first ever visit to a Zoo.  I have always loved animals and people found it hard to believe that I had never been to a Zoo.  At 24 years old I figured it was about time I changed this.I was in Taiping and had a few hours to kill in this pleasant small town in Malaysia (which frankly has little else to do) so I had no excuse. I also had a new Camera and I figured it would be easier to photograph animals that had nowhere to run off to.[nggallery id=9]

  1. I have not been to a zoo since I was a child. Back then, the animals were in cages and it seemed to be a sad place. I think zoos have changed a lot since then. They try to show animals in more natural environments.

I was interested in the photo that showed several different animals together. I’ve often wondered how zoo staff maintain balance in these open environments so that some are not attacking the others.

I love the photo that shows the birds with the monkey running by. He’s got some food in his hand. Sneaky little animals!

  2. What beautiful photos! Truth be told, I felt as if I was right there looking at these wonderful animals in person. While I too have not been to a zoo in quite some time, I have always been amazed at the beauty and natural settings that the animals reside in, it’s very impressive and a joy to see.

  3. If you love wild tigers and have a courageous heart visit SUNDARVAN in West Bengal. The wild tigers are so fierce and violent in action. There are guided tours by the local government. But mind you, tigers attack from the back side on humans.Sundarvan tigers are best known for attacking anybody including the fishermen, the local and even the visitors.
