Global Goose is a travel resource run by two passionate travelers who love having adventures in all far-flung corners of the globe.

In 2009, Lee embarked on a solo backpacking trip around New Zealand, leaving his native Accrington in the UK. A few months later, Kelly did the same thing, departing from her home of Victoria, BC, Canada. They both crossed paths while working as tour guides in a haunted prison in Napier, on the North Island. After having fun covering themselves in fake blood and scaring the living daylights out of tourists, Kelly went WOOFing in Hawkes Baywhile Lee visited family on the South Island. They reunited in Christchurch and lived together there for several months. When Lee had to return to the UK, Kelly thought “What the hell, why not?” and tagged along with him.

They lived together in Accrington for over a year, delving deep into freelance writing, travel blogging, and working to establish themselves as Digital Nomads. Once they had discovered how to make an income through freelancing and work from anywhere in the world, they lived in Portugal for three weeks just because they could.

Bitten by the travel bug once again, they then hopped a flight to Victoria, BC, Canada and set off on a journey to backpack across Kelly’s home and native land, which is the second largest country in the world while successfully running their freelance writing business. After two and a half months of Couchsurfing, hostels, camping, sleeping on trains, and meeting up with countless old and new friends, they found themselves in Newfoundland. As of now, they have settled for the winter so that they can plan their next epic worldwide adventure!

Their future plans include working and traveling around Canada, Australia, South East Asia, South America, The United States, and more!
